RightFax 9.4 Sustaining Maintenance

Pay attention, RightFax 9.4 users! RightFax v9.4 will be in “Sustaining Maintenance” on May 31st, 2013. Sustaining Maintenance means that the software version is no longer under maintenance or supported by OpenText (the manufacturer). Essentially, come June 1st of this year, RightFax 9.4 will effectively be retired in the eyes of RightFax developers and no patches nor version updates will ever be released again. Even the smallest changes to the RightFax environment, such as a Microsoft update, can result in significant downtime without the ability to apply a software patch. If you are still on version 9.4, you should consider exploring your upgrade options.

Upgrading from 9.4 not only protects your organization’s RightFax investment and ensures fax availability, but it also provides some great new features that improve end-user and admin faxing experience. These features include, but are not limited to:

  • Improved FaxUtil responsiveness
  • Enhanced FaxUtil client interface
  • Agnostic web client support
  • Support for Windows 7 and Windows 8
  • Even more server-side and client-side enhancements

While the RightFax experts at MyPaperlessFax will do their best to continue to support your existing v9.4 server solution, remaining on that version will leave your organization susceptible to issues moving forward. Upgrade to RightFax v10.5 and ensure that your fax server environment remains as robust and reliable as every.
